WEST CHESTER – West Chester advanced to the semifinals of the PSAC Women's Tennis Championship with a 5-0 win over visiting East Stroudsburg University on Monday afternoon.
The Warriors, who played with a reshuffled lineup due to the absence of senior
Jamie Ferrigno, were making their second appearance in the PSAC tournament in the last three seasons but dropped all three doubles matches and the first two singles matches that were completed.

Amber Adams dropped an 8-0 score to Kara Shumock and Nicole Paller at No. 3.
In singles, Fetter had a 6-0, 6-2 win over Lausch at No. 3 and Claire Afrassiabian won 6-0, 6-0 against Vega at No. 4. The remainder of the singles matches were not completed once West Chester earned the match-clinching fifth point.
ESU finishes the season with a 7-6 record and has put together four straight seasons with at least a .500 record for the first time since seven straight years from 1965-72. The Warriors went 14-9 and made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history, were 10-10 in 2008-09 and 10-9 in 2009-10.
D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno will look for their fourth straight selection to the All-PSAC team in doubles when the squads are announced following the season and compiled a 55-27 record as a doubles team over their four years.
D'Ambrosia finishes her career with 108 combined wins, going 49-28 in singles and 59-30 in doubles. She played No. 2 singles in all but a handful of matches, going 38-18 at No. 2 and 43-22 overall in duals.
Ferrigno posted 111 career wins, with a 52-22 singles record and 59-30 doubles mark. She opened her career with a 12-3 dual record between No. 4 and No. 5 singles as a freshman and was 31-14 at No. 3 singles over the last three seasons.
