MILLERSVILLE – Seniors Katie D'Ambrosia and Jamie Ferrigno and sophomore Rabecca Lausch were winners in both singles and doubles to lead East Stroudsburg University to a 5-4 win at Millersville in PSAC East women's tennis on Saturday afternoon.

The Marauders won the men's match, 8-1. ESU picked up its point at No. 2 doubles where juniors Andrew Makos and Jared Rosenberg won 9-8 (7-1) over Tyler Reppert and Donald Swantko. Makos and Rosenberg both dropped three-set matches in singles – Rosenberg fell 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 to Drew Slocum at No. 2 and Swantko outlasted Makos 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 3.

In the women's match, ESU led 2-1 after doubles play with wins at the top two flights and D'Ambrosia, Ferrigno and Lausch posted singles victories at the second through fourth spots to wrap up the win.

D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno won 8-2 over Samantha Prager and Melissa Plowman at No. 1 doubles and Lausch teamed with junior Amanda Kaufman for an 8-6 win over Shauna Powers and Kaeley McCabe at No. 2.

D'Ambrosia defeated Prager and Ferrigno took out McCabe in singles play, both in straight sets. Lausch notched a three-set victory over Powers at No. 4, dropping the middle set of a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 win. Plowman edged Kaufman at No. 1, 5-7, 7-5, 7-5.

ESU evened its PSAC East record at 1-1 after opening conference play with a 7-2 loss at West Chester on Tuesday. Both teams are back in action on Sunday at Kutztown.
