EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University improved to 2-1 in PSAC East women's tennis with an 8-1 win at Kutztown on Sunday afternoon. Kutztown won the men's match by an identical 8-1 score.

Junior Amanda Kaufman (No. 1), senior Katie D'Ambrosia (No. 2), sophomore Rabecca Lausch (No. 3) and freshman Annie Vega (No. 5) posted straight-set wins in singles for the Warriors, who won 5-4 at Millersville on Saturday after a 7-2 loss at West Chester earlier in the week.

D'Ambrosia and senior Jamie Ferrigno won 8-0 at No. 1 doubles and Kaufman and Lausch had an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. The sixth singles and third doubles matches were not contested.

Senior Zach Ontell and junior Mark Covert picked up ESU's victory in the men's match, earning an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles. Kutztown, the defending PSAC champion, won all six singles matches in straight sets, but senior Will Norris pushed Kaushik Das to 7-6, 6-3 at the No. 1 slot.

The Warriors' women are slated to travel to Caldwell for a non-conference match on Monday. Both teams return to PSAC action on Wednesday at rival Bloomsburg.
