LOCK HAVEN – Shannon Sullivan scored two goals, including the game-winner with 6:43 remaining, to give No. 8-ranked IUP a 2-1 win over No. 6 East Stroudsburg University in a neutral site, non-conference field hockey match-up on Saturday afternoon in central Pennsylvania.

Sullivan scored 10 minutes into the game and added the game-winning goal late in the contest to help IUP stay undefeated at 3-0 despite being outshot 20-12 and out-cornered 18-7.

Senior midfielder Amanda McGuire scored ESU's goal 1:28 into the second half, her second of the season, on an assist from senior back Michelle Tewell for her first career point for the Warriors.

Brittany Varacallo played the second half and made six saves for the Crimson Hawks, while starter Sarah Lemieux made two saves in the first half. Senior Maureen Ordnung had three saves for ESU (1-2), which won its opener 5-0 over No. 4 Stonehill before falling 3-2 to Merrimack on overtime last Sunday.

The Warriors have a quick turnaround for their first PSAC game of the season as they travel to C.W. Post on Tuesday.
