EDINBORO – East Stroudsburg University opened its PSAC women's volleyball schedule with 3-0 setbacks to Gannon and Edinboro, who both made the PSAC Tournament a year ago.

Annabelle Charlton had seven kills, 13 assists and eight digs against Gannon (5-4), which won by scores of 25-15, 25-22 and 26-16.

Allye Preziosi helped Charlton direct the attack with 14 assists.
The Warriors pushed Edinboro, the PSAC runner-up last season, to 27-25 in the second set in their second match of the day. The Fighting Scots (9-1, 2-0) won 25-16, 27-25, 25-11 in their second match of the day and were 17-2 against PSAC competition last fall.
Charlton had a team-high six kills and added six digs and three assists for the Warriors. O'Neill had 14 digs, Mork had 12 and Preziosi had three kills and 10 assists.
ESU is back on the floor with one match on Saturday, making the short trip to Erie for a 3:30 p.m. start time at Mercyhurst before traveling back across the commonwealth.
