SHIPPENSBURG – Reigning national player of the year Kristina Taylor scored two goals and Bre White had a goal and three assists to lead No. 4-ranked Shippensburg to a 6-0 win over No. 10 East Stroudsburg University in non-conference field hockey on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors (2-4), playing just 14 hours after a 6-5 win over Mansfield on Friday night, were unable to get their offense going against the defending national runner-ups. Shippensburg (5-2) held ESU to two shots and just one on goal in posting its fourth shutout of the season.

Ship led 2-0 at halftime on goals by Jamie Levy and Katie Pufnock, who entered the game at the Lady Raiders' top scorer with eight goals this season.

White scored 52 seconds into the second half and Taylor scored her two goals 4:15 and 11:53 into the period. Lauren Taylor finished the scoring with just under 12 minutes left. Shippensburg has won eight of the last nine in the series as the Lady Raiders avenged a 2-1 loss to ESU in last year's PSAC semifinals.

Senior goalkeeper Maureen Ordnung had four saves for ESU, which continues a stretch of five straight away games with a PSAC East match-up on Wednesday at Kutztown. The Warriors dropped their PSAC East opener, 2-1 (OT), at C.W. Post on Tuesday.
