EAST STROUDSBURG – Redshirt senior Adam Hluschak had a first-period pin at 141 pounds for East Stroudsburg University's only points in a 43-6 dual setback against Division I Navy on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Midshipmen recorded four first-period pins, including two from nationally-ranked wrestlers in No. 19 Aaron Kalil (133) and No. 13 Luke Rebertus (184), and received a forfeit at 149 to bolster their final total. Navy evened its record at 3-3 going into a dual at No. 14 Lehigh on Saturday.

Hluschak improved to 18-6 with his second pin of the season and the eighth of his career, decking Dustin Haislip in 2:31. Hluschak, a Division II national qualifier two seasons ago, has won by major decision, technical fall or fall in 35 of his 68 career victories.

At 157, Navy's Bobby Barnhisel used three first-period takedowns for a 6-4 decision over redshirt sophomore Braden Turner, who falls to 14-8. Michael Brant posted an 8-2 decision over redshirt senior Thad Frick at 165, just his fifth loss of the season against 16 victories.

ESU was wrestling without four regulars in redshirt senior Andrew Ritchie (149), redshirt sophomore Brendan McKeown (174), senior James Gonzalez (184) and redshirt senior Ed Ebewo (197), who remained at No. 7 in the most recent Division II rankings and is ranked No. 1 in Super Region 1.

The Warriors head to Ashland, Ohio for Sunday's Mid Atlantic Duals. They will face No. 14 West Liberty in the first round of the bracketed tournament.
