EAST STROUDSBURG – Redshirt senior Ed Ebewo retained the No. 1 spot at 197 pounds and leads four East Stroudsburg University wrestlers in the most recent Super Region 1 rankings, it was released on Monday.

Ebewo returned from injury at the Super Region 1 Duals on Friday with a win by decision against Ohio Valley, improving to 10-3 on the season and 5-0 against Division II competition. He is ranked No. 7 in the most recent NWCA national poll and is a returning national qualifier.

Redshirt senior Adam Hluschak moved up two spots to No. 3 at 141 pounds, going 6-0 with four pins and two major decisions since January 13 to run his season record to 23-6. Hluschak, a national qualifier two seasons ago, had a 12-1 major of Nick Wykoff of West Liberty, ranked No. 3 nationally, at the Mid-Atlantic Duals on January 15.

Redshirt senior Thad Frick (165) and redshirt sophomore Braden Turner (157) both fell one spot to No. 6 in their respective weight classes in this week's rankings.

Frick, who missed the Super Region 1 Duals due to injury, is 18-6 overall and 6-2 vs. Division II opponents. He went 2-1 at the Mid-Atlantic Duals with a 6-4 setback to Jordan Nolan of West Liberty, who is ranked No. 5 in the region.

Turner is 19-9 on the year and 8-2 on the mat against Division II competition. He was 3-0, including a forfeit victory, at the Super Region 1 Duals, and went 2-1 at the Mid-Atlantic Duals over the last two weeks.

Redshirt sophomore Brendan McKeown, previously ranked No. 4 at 174 pounds, fell out of this week's rankings. McKeown hasn't competed since leaving the PSAC Championships with a medical forfeit on December 10.

As a team, ESU fell from No. 5 to No. 10 after going 1-2 at both the Mid-Atlantic Duals and Super Region 1 Duals over the last two weekends. The Warriors have been without their projected starter at six of the 10 weight classes at some point during the 2011-12 season.
