Imani Rosario ran an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time of 12:15.04, second-fastest in school history, at the Penn State National on Friday.
The Warriors beat the provisional standard of 12:17.00 by just under two seconds on the banked track at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track at Penn State. The time is 6.04 seconds off the school record of 12:09.00 which was set in 1997.
Fitzgerald opened with a leg of 3:49.1 in the 1200, followed Rosario in 60.9 in the 400, Wernerspach in 2:21.5 in the 800 and Mascoli at 5:01.8 in the 1600.
The Warriors finished fifth in their heat of seven schools, which included four Division I programs along with Division II Shippensburg and Cal State-Los Angeles. Shippensburg won the heat in 11:50.87.
ESU's top DMR last season, which included Wernerspach in the 1200 and Fitzgerald in the 1600, ran 12:19.45 to place third in the PSAC.
