MILLERSVILLE – Sophomore Allison Schafer swam East Stroudsburg University's fastest time in the 1000 free since 1987 and was one of three double-winners in the Warriors' 143-115 dual victory at Millersville on Saturday.

Schafer turned in a time of 11:08.31, five seconds faster than her previous PR of 11:13.74. The school record of 11:03.66 was recorded by Jackie Rulon in 1987 and Schafer's time is the fastest since ESU's swimming program was reinstated as a varsity sport in 1995. Schafer also won the 500 free in 5:28.11 and was third in the 100 back.

Juniors Kimberly Lawson and Sami Vavra also won a pair of individual events and swam on the winning 200 medley relay. Lawson won the 100 fly in 1:01.30 and 200 IM in 2:19.50 while placing second in the 200 fly (2:19.31). Vavra swept the 100 breast (1:09.86) and 200 breast (2:34.63).

The 200 medley relay of freshman Shelby Stalnaker, Vavra, Lawson and freshman Karoline Vavra posted a time of 1:54.22. The 400 free relay of Sami Vavra, sophomore Andrea Tremper, freshman Danielle Davis and Schafer was second in 3:54.89.

Karoline Vavra had a trio of second-place finishes, coming in the 50 free (25.52), 100 free (55.53) ad 200 free (2:02.62). Stalnaker was second in the 100 back (1:05.62) and 200 back (2:25.34), and freshman Mara Palazzari was second in the 100 fly (1:03.72).

The Warriors will host the annual ESU Invitational next Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse beginning at 12 p.m.
