MILLERSVILLE - East Stroudsburg University won four of 10 events as the Warriors opened the 2012-13 swimming season at the Millersville Relays on Saturday.

Sophomore Karoline Vavra, the school record-setter in the 100 free last season, swam on three of the four winning relays, the 300 breast, 500 free and 200 free. ESU competed against Mansfield and host Millersville.

Vavra was joined by her sister, senior Sami Vavra, and freshman Samantha Miara on the 300 breast relay that won in 3:35.22. Sami Vavra set school records in the 50 and 100 breast last year.

In the 500 free relay, junior Andrea Tremper, sophomore Danielle Davis, freshman Alexandra Woytko and Karoline Vavra had a winning time of 4:59.53.

Karoline Vavra, Woytko, Davis and freshman Sophie Coy won the 200 free relay in 1:44.61.

The 400 IM provided the Warriors' fourth win, with Sami Vavra, freshman Natalie Ramos, sophomore Shelby Stalnaker and junior Allison Schafer posting a time of 4:27.92. Schafer set school records in the 500 and 1000 free at last year's PSAC Championships.

ESU travels to Lock Haven for a quad meet next Saturday.
