EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior outside hitter Kaitlin Behrens had a career-high 27 kills and three other Warriors were in double figures, but Kutztown emerged with a 3-2 win in PSAC East women's volleyball on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

ESU (7-15, 4-10) won the first two sets, 25-18 and 27-25, before Kutztown (11-15, 3-10) came back to win the final three sets, 25-21, 26-24, 16-14 in a match that saw three of the five sets extend beyond the traditional scoring. ESU won one more point overall, 111-110.

Sophomore Annabelle Charlton had her fourth triple-double of the year with 11 kills, 34 assists and 22 digs and junior Allye Preziosi was one dig away, with 13 kills, 26 assists and nine digs.

Senior outside hitter Katie O'Neill had a career-high 13 kills and added 10 digs. Freshman Maddie Hutchison had 20 digs to hit the mark for the fifth time this season.

Behrens had 27 kills and 19 errors on 70 attacks, the fifth time she has had more than 50 attacks this year. She entered the week ranked second in the PSAC with 3.79 kills per set and is now averaging 3.88, with 252 kills in 65 sets. She has 20+ kills in four matches and 10+ kills in 13 matches this year.

Brianna Risch and Audrey Stringer had nine kills each to lead a balanced attack for Kutztown, which hit .158. Chelsea Braga added eight kills and 15 digs. ESU hit .160 as a team.

The Warriors, who played at home for the first time since Sept. 22, host West Chester next Thursday at 7 p.m. in the second of five straight home matches at Koehler Fieldhouse.
