MILLERSVILLE – Ashley Weber scored 1:56 into overtime to give No. 6-ranked Millersville a 1-0 win over No. 10 East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East field hockey on Wednesday afternoon.
Weber's goal, assisted by Sarah Bomberger, ended the third straight overtime between the two schools. ESU won, 2-1, in both games last year, winning in double-overtime at home and in penalty strokes on the road.
The last eight games in the series have all been decided by one goal, with ESU holding a 5-3 advantage since the second meeting in 2008.
Millersville (8-5, 3-2) held a 21-11 advantage in shots and outshot the Warriors, 13-2, from the start of the second half on.

Sarah Dobroskey had eight saves for ESU and Lauren Sotzin made six saves for Millersville, which won the penalty corner battle, 12-9.
ESU (4-8, 0-5) finished the first half of its PSAC East schedule and opens the second half on Saturday at LIU Post at 4 p.m.
