BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - Paige Albano and first team All-American Carlee Dragon scored four minutes apart early in the second half to lift LIU Post to a 3-2 win over visiting East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East field hockey on Saturday afternoon.
Junior forward Gabrielle Seibert and senior midfielder Mallory Pope scored first-half goals for ESU, with Seibert tying the game at 1-1 just under 12 minutes into the game and Pope scoring on an assist from senior midfielder Alyson Becker with 2:28 left until halftime.
Ashley Oracewski gave LIU Post (6-6, 3-3) a 1-0 lead 4:47 into the game before ESU took its 2-1 halftime lead.
LIU Post had a slight 14-10 advantage in shots. Senior goalkeeper Sarah Dobroskey had three saves for ESU and Becca May had five saves for post, which also overcame a 3-2 halftime deficit in a 5-4 win at ESU on September 11.
ESU (4-9, 0-6), which has dropped seven of its last eight after a 3-2 start, hosts Limestone (S.C.) in a non-conference game on Sunday at 12 p.m.
