EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior midfielder
Mallory Pope scored both goals as East Stroudsburg University won a defensive battle with Limestone, 2-0, in non-conference field hockey on Sunday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

The two teams combined for just 15 shots, eight by ESU, which had a 9-4 advantage in penalty corners. Senior goalkeeper
Sarah Dobroskey had four saves for her first career solo shutout for ESU (5-9), and Rachael Sanders made four saves for Limestone (7-3).
Pope, who also scored in a 3-2 loss at LIU Post on Saturday, has a career-high five goals this season and nine in her career. She also leads all active Warriors with 14 career assists.
ESU, ranked No. 10 in this week's NFHCA coaches poll, plays Tuesday night at Kutztown and hosts Bloomsburg on Saturday at 1 p.m. in its two games next week.

* ESU's 2001 field hockey team was inducted to the Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday morning. The Warriors were the PSAC and NCAA Division II runner-ups and finished with a 16-7 record. Coached by
