KUTZTOWN - Senior Alycia Jones shot back-to-back rounds of 90 to lead the East Stroudsburg University women's golf team at the Kutztown Fall Invitational this weekend at Berkleigh Golf Club.

Jones tied for 17th in a field of 44 golfers that played the par-74, 5,900-yard course. Sophomore Kayla Grossi tied for 27th (194), freshman Bridget Simons was 29th (195) and sophomore Malene Frost was 33rd (202). Simons shot a second-round 92 after carding 103 on Saturday.

ESU was seventh of nine schools with a two-day, eight-round total of 771. Merrimack won at 640, easily outpacing Kutztown (667) and West Chester (707). Merrimack took three of the top four spots, led by medalist Jessica Ngui, who shot 79-79 for a 158.

The Warriors will participate in the Ursinus Invitational on Thursday in their final action before the PSAC Championships on October 19-20 at Hershey Links.
