ESU Volleyball Falls to Millersville in Three Sets

EAST STROUDSBURG - Katie Lesinski had nine kills and eight digs and Rebecca Roman added eight kills on 15 attacks as Millersville posted a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's volleyball on Friday at the Mattioli Recreation Center.

Senior outside hitter Kaitlin Behrens had 11 kills and 10 digs, sophomore Annabelle Charlton had nine kills and 11 assists, senior outside hitter Katie O'Neill had 13 digs, freshman libero Maddie Hutchison added 11 and junior Allye Preziosi had 15 assists and eight digs for ESU (7-17, 4-12 PSAC East).

Millersville improves to 13-15 (6-10) with three conference matches remaining for each school. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-21.

Friday's match and Saturday afternoon's match against Shippensburg were both moved to the Mattioli Recreation Center on Wednesday. Koehler Fieldhouse is serving as an emergency shelter for individuals displaced by Hurricane Sandy, operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare with voluntary assistance by the Red Cross and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).

The Warriors host Shippensburg on Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m. ESU takes on Lock Haven in its final home match on Tuesday, November 6 and heads to Kutztown on Friday, November 9 to finish the regular season.
