EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore Annabelle Charlton had nine kills, 13 assists and 11 digs to lead East Stroudsburg University in a 3-0 loss to Shippensburg in PSAC East women's volleyball at the Mattioli Recreation Center on Saturday.

Senior outside hitter Kaitlin Behrens had seven kills and eight digs, freshman libero Maddie Hutchison had 19 digs and junior Allye Preziosi had 10 digs and 13 assists for the Warriors (7-18, 4-13).

Jill Edwards had 11 kills and 14 digs to lead Shippensburg (24-9, 12-4), which is second in the PSAC East. Andrea Heimsoth had 26 assists.

Saturday's match, and Friday night's contest against Millersville, were both moved to the Mattioli Recreation Center on Wednesday. Koehler Fieldhouse is serving as an emergency shelter for individuals displaced by Hurricane Sandy, operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare with voluntary assistance by the Red Cross and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).

The Warriors host Lock Haven in their final home match of the year on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before finishing the season on Friday night at Kutztown.

ESU recognized its four seniors before the match - Behrens, Katie O'Neill, Kristina Perri and Megan Plumb. Preziosi was recognized as the Ann Gladfelter McGinnis scholarship recipient by McGinnis, who is the only All-America in ESU women's volleyball history when she was named to the AIAW team in 1981.
