CHEYNEY - Senior guard
Barb Borst scored 13 points and sophomore forward
Jessica Martin added 12 points and seven rebounds as East Stroudsburg University ran out to a 20-2 lead to post a 65-37 win over Cheyney on PSAC women's basketball on Saturday afternoon at Cope Hall.
Martin scored 10 points in a 16-0 run, extending a 4-2 lead to 20-2 seven minutes into the game, and the Warriors (2-4, 1-2) pushed the margin to 39-10 before leading 44-17 at halftime. ESU's 44 first-half points were its most since eclipsing that mark twice during the 2006-07 season.
Borst scored all 13 of her points in the first half and went over the 500-point mark in her career, entering with 499 points. She was 3-for-4 from the field, 2-for-3 from the three-point line and 5-for-6 at the foul line.
ESU had 12 players find the scoring column, including nine in the first half. All 18 Warriors got in the game before halftime.

Fayola Moise had seven points and five rebounds, junior guard
Andrea Veres scored seven points and sophomore guard
Ryann Fiascki had six points, three rebounds and four assists. Freshman guard
Melissa Poderis had five points off the bench and freshman center
Michelle Boggs had two points and seven rebounds.
Tamara Russell had nine points and six rebounds and Destiny McFarlane had eight points to lead Cheyney (0-5, 0-3).
Cheyney shot 22.0 percent (13-for-59) and had 32 turnovers, 16 in each half. ESU shot 35.2 percent (19-for-54) despite not hitting a field goal over the final 8:30 and had 28 turnovers.
The Warriors are off for finals week and return to the floor next Saturday (Dec. 15) at Philadelphia University for their final non-conference game of the season.
