CLERMONT, Fla. – After two weather delays and a game time that reached three hours and thirty minutes, Alderson-Broaddus came away with a 17-8 (6 inn.) win over East Stroudsburg University in the opening game of the Warriors' softball trip to Florida on Sunday at the National Training Center.
Senior shortstop
Pam Sellers was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and was hit by a pitch to lead the ESU offense, which had seven hits and nine walks on the day.
Freshman outfielder
Kacie Killeen went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and freshman
Cara Woods was 1-for-1 with a three-run single.
The Warriors' second game of the day against Mercy (N.Y.) was postponed due to weather. ESU (0-8) will be back on the field on Monday with a doubleheader against Pfeiffer.
