CLERMONT, Fla. – Freshman
Cara Woods drew a bases loaded walk with two outs in the seventh inning to give East Stroudsburg University a 3-2 win over Mercy College (N.Y.) in the Warriors' third game of the day on Tuesday at the National Training Center.

Marianne Wright earned the win with 5.0 innings of four-hit, one-run relief after throwing a complete game in a 4-1 win over Pfeiffer in the second game of a doubleheader on Monday.
ESU fell to No. 12-ranked Winona State (Minn.), 8-3, in its first game of the day on Tuesday and dropped a 7-6 (8 inn.) decision to American International. The Warriors (2-11) are off on Wednesday and play two games each on Thursday and Friday to finish their 10-game trip.

Brittany Zanzalari drew a one-out walk, moved up on a passed ball and scored on a two-out double by senior 2B

Rebecca Smith hit an RBI single to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead in the fifth. Freshman OF
Kacie Killeen, who was 2-for-2, hit a one-out single, stole second with pinch runner
Kaitlin Blum getting thrown out at home, and scored on Smith's base hit.
ESU won it in the seventh after Zanzalari reached on a leadoff walk. Freshman SS
Jamie Smith had a bunt single, both runners advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Stettler, and Killeen was intentionally walked before Woods walked to score the winning run. Killeen was the only Warrior with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-2.
Against American International, the Warriors came back from an early 6-2 deficit to tie it with four runs in the sixth inning, but the Yellow Jackets produced the winning run with the international tiebreaker in the eighth.
Freshman OF
Kasey Meckes had an RBI single, Stettler hit a two-run double and Killeen had an infield single to score Stettler to tie the score at 6-all. In the first, senior 3B
Rachel Gieringer put the Warriors on the board with a two-run double before AIC scored four in the first and two in the second.
AIC scored the winning run on an error in the bottom of the eighth. A sacrifice bunt moved the lead runner from second to third, and after a walk and a strikeout, the next batter put the ball in play to bring home the winning run.
Freshman
Taylor Webb was outstanding in relief, striking out 10 in 6.1 innings and allowing three hits and two walks. The only run she allowed was unearned. Senior SS
Pam Sellers was 2-for-2 before leaving due to injury.
Winona State improved to 17-1 in the first game of the day, getting four runs in the first inning sparked by a two-run homer by Molly Link. They added two more runs in the third and fifth frames.
Rebecca Smith was 3-for-4 to produce half of ESU's six hits in the leadoff spot. She hit a leadoff double and scored on a single by Sellers in the first, and Stettler had an RBI single to score Zanzalari in the second.
ESU plated its third run in the seventh inning on an RBI single by Smith after Killeen walked and advanced on a wild pitch.
Freshman
Shaylyn Wood threw a complete game in the circle for ESU. Brittany Stewart also went the distance for Winona State to improve to 5-0 on the season.
ESU takes on Philadelphia University and St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday and completes its trip against Merrimack and Minot State (N.D.) on Friday.
