BROOKHAVEN, N.Y. – Brooke Witkowski had five goals and eight assists to tie her own school record with 13 points to lead No. 13-ranked Dowling to a 20-3 win over East Stroudsburg University in non-conference women's lacrosse on Thursday afternoon.

Witkowski, a returning first team All-American, had four goals and six assists in the first half to lead the Lions (2-2) to a 13-0 halftime lead. Shannon Asquino, Jackie Anderson and Samantha Stavish all finished with three goals for Dowling.

Senior midfielder Grace Gunkel, sophomore attack Nicole Miller and freshman attack Alexa Webb all scored for ESU (1-4), which has faced three teams in the IWLCA top 15 in its first five games this season.

Tina Fey played the first half in goal for Dowling and made five saves. Irene Russell came on to make five saves in the second half.

Senior Amanda Simms and junior Katie Zollo split time in goal for ESU.

The Warriors, who fell at No. 7 West Chester in their PSAC opener on Tuesday, host Kutztown on Saturday at 1 p.m. in their second conference game. They also host Philadelphia University on Sunday in the last of four games in six days.
