WEST CHESTER – Senior Amanda Kaufman and freshman Taylor Presby won in singles and Presby and sophomore Annie Vega won at No. 3 doubles as East Stroudsburg University dropped a 6-3 decision at West Chester in the PSAC East women's tennis opener for both schools on Tuesday.

Kaufman improved to 8-5 on the year at No. 1 singles with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 win over Brittany Counts at the top flight.

Presby had a 6-2, 6-1 win over MacKenizie Breinlinger at No. 6 singles. West Chester won the second through fifth singles spots.

In doubles, Presby and Vega won 8-5 over Breinlinger and Alex Santoro. Counts and Ali Fetter downed Kaufman and Allison Bean, 8-3, at No. 1 and Nicole Paller and Haley Wissinger had an 8-1 win over junior Rabecca Lausch and freshman Elizabeth Longenhagen.

ESU travels to Kutztown for a PSAC East match on Friday and hosts Holy Family on Saturday at 12 p.m. in a make-up of last Sunday's match which was rained out.
