INDIANA, Pa. – East Stroudsburg University held an early 3-2 lead, but No. 15-ranked IUP closed the first half on a 5-1 run and went on to a post an 18-9 win in PSAC women's lacrosse on Saturday afternoon.
Junior attack
Sarah Ginn scored five goals to lead ESU (3-6, 1-3), which has taken five of its six losses against ranked teams, including 22-5 at No. 10 Lock Haven on Friday.
Sophomore attack
Nicole Miller had two goals and an assist and senior midfielder

Miller opened the scoring and Ginn added a free position shot to give ESU a 2-0 lead just over four minutes into the game. Ginn put ESU back ahead after IUP tied the game at 2-2, but a goal by Becca Vogt 10 seconds later forged another tie and Michelle Zakrzewski gave the Crimson Hawks the lead for good with 13:38 left in the first half.
Tenley Seidel scored three goals, four others had one each and Alexa Lodovici had a goal and four assists to lead the offense for IUP (7-1, 4-0).
Senior
Amanda Simms played the entire game in goal and made 12 saves for ESU. Chelsey Hipp had six saves in the first half and Katherine Davis made one save in the second half in net for IUP.
ESU hosts Gannon, which was first among others receiving votes in this week's IWLCA Division II Top 15 poll, on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Whitenight Field. The Warriors won both meetings last season, including a 16-8 win in the PSAC quarterfinals.
