Malene Frost shot a season-best 89 as East Stroudsburg University placed second at the Stonewall Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College, on Tuesday at the Stonewall North Course.
Frost's 89 was a season-best by six strokes and landed her sixth overall in a field of 29. Junior
Alycia Jones shot a 93 to tie for seventh, junior
Kayla Grossi was 12th with a 99 and junior
Regan Zimmerman was 16th with a 104.
Alvernia won the event with a four-player total of 353 and had three of the top five finishers. ESU was second at 385, followed by Ursinus (411), Muhlenberg (429) and Eastern (443).
Amanda Beebe of Swarthmore and Christina Bryde of Muhlenberg shared medalists honors with rounds of 84 on the par-70, 6,735-yard course.
ESU will participate in the Alvernia Spring Invitational next Monday and the Albright Spring Cup next Thursday as the Warriors finish their 2011-12 season.
