EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior 
Alycia Jones shot a career-low 88 to tie for 11th in a field of 27 golfers at Kutztown to lead East Stroudsburg University's women's golf program in its opening weekend of the spring season.
Jones shot a 42 on the back nine to card ESU's first sub-90 round since 2009-10, when Karen Cash was the PSAC Golfer of the Year. Her previous low round was 93 on the same course, Berkleigh Country Club, as a freshman.
ESU finished fourth of five schools at both the Kutztown Spring Invitational, an 18-hole event, on Saturday and the Edwin Cottrell Invitational, a 36-hole event, at Penn Oaks Golf Club at West Chester on Sunday and Monday.

Malene Frost shot a season-best 95, junior 
Regan Zimmerman shot 100 and freshman 
Kayla Grossi came in at 105 at Kutztown to give the Warriors a team score of 388, 14 shots better than LeMoyne. Kutztown's A team won with a 326 and Mindy Glatfelter was the medalist with a round of 75.
At West Chester, Zimmerman led the Warriors with a two-day score of 206 (103-103) to place 17th in a field of 28. Frost was two shots back at 208, followed by Jones (212) and Grossi (217). ESU's score of 843 was one shot behind LeMoyne for third.
Glatfelter repeated as the medalist for Kutztown at 170 (83-87). Kutztown had a 21-stroke margin over West Chester, 713-734.
The Warriors are off until April 17 when they travel to Collegeville for the Ursinus Invitational.
