EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University athletes won 12 individual events and three relays, and set six meet records and three Eiler-Martin Stadium records at the Warriors' Seventh Annual All-American Meet on Saturday afternoon.

ESU had 10 individuals combine for its dozen victories in individual events, and another three ESU alumni who won their events.

Sophomore Laura Beimfohr accounted for the only school record, breaking her own mark in the pole vault by clearing 11-7 1/4 after setting it two weeks ago at 11-6 1/4. Beimfohr was second in the event on number of jumps to Melissa Fellenbaum of Alvernia. Both athletes set the meet and stadium record.

Junior Russell Hedrick had an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the javelin with a personal best of 194-5. He was also a provisional qualifier last season. Hedrick placed second behind teammate Matt Tholis, also a junior, who hit a throw of 205-8. Tholis had his PR and NCAA provisional mark of 209-4, 7th-best in DII so far this year, on April 1 at Lafayette.

There were two double-winners for the Warriors, freshman Danielle Smith and senior Ian Melhorn, who both swept the 100m and 200m while anchoring the winning 4x100m relay teams.

Smith set meet records in the 100m (12.30) and 200m (25.48), and anchored the 4x100 relay of junior Lauren Ventrella and sophomores Morgan McCarthy and Rachel Pierantozzi to a meet and stadium record of 48.07.

Melhorn won the men's 100 in 11.04 and the 200 in 22.16. The 4x100 relay of freshman Brandon Mercer, sophomore Keith Parker-Washington, freshman Robert Fearon and Melhorn ran a season best of 41.30 to set the meet and stadium records.

Other winners were sophomore Kim Wernerspach in the 3000m (10:28.59), Ventrella in the 100m hurdles (14.94, meet record), freshman Christina O'Connor in the high jump (5-5 3/4), junior Lauren Hannan in the triple jump (36-0 3/4), senior Sam Janssen in the men's 800m invitational (1:53.92), freshman Damien Boham in the 800m (1:55.12), freshman Donovan Tolbert in the triple jump (46-10) and Tholis in the javelin (205-8).

Alumni winners were three-time All-American and five-time PSAC champion Negus Graham in the 400m (48.75), three-time national qualifier and four-time PSAC champion Matt Gallup in the pole vault (15-0) and two-time All-American and eight-time PSAC champion Paul Wagner with a meet record in the hammer (208-7).

Boham anchored the 4x400m relay to a winning time and ESU freshman record of 3:18.52 with a 47.5 split on the last lap. Kyle Rickard led off in 49.2, Brett Yeomans ran 50.9 and 800m standout Steve Ruch ran 51.9 to get the baton to Boham for the anchor.

Janssen and junior Mike Saparito, the school record holder in the indoor and outdoor 800m, finished 1-2 in a field of six finishers in the men's 800m invitational run. The rest of the field included standouts Dayne Mosconi (Lafayette), Matt VanDenHengel (Gwynedd-Mercy), Julian Sheinbaum (unattached) and Derrick Hargwood (Lafayette). Chris Parker (unattached) and Frank Redmon (Misericordia) were the rabbits.
