ERIE – East Stroudsburg University took a 6-5 lead early in the second half, but Mercyhurst rallied to score nine of the final 10 goals for a 14-7 win over the Warriors in PSAC lacrosse on Friday morning in the northwest corner of the commonwealth.
Sophomores
Sarah Studdiford and
Nicole Miller both scored in the first 2:04 of the second half to cap a 6-0 run for ESU (3-8, 1-5), which narrowed a 5-0 margin to 5-4 at halftime with four goals in the last 7:14 of the first half.
Mercyhurst (7-4, 5-1) tied it on a goal by Anna Legrett and took the lead for good on a goal by Rebecca Himes 10 seconds later, part of a seven-goal run for the Lakers.

Grace Gunkel both scored two goals for ESU and Miller, junior

Maure Perrymond had three assists for the Warriors attack and Miller also assisted on a goal.
Himes scored three goals and Legrett, Alisha Catalino, Jessica Lincoln, Kayla Minner and Kelly Palmer all had two goals each for Mercyhurst, which suffered its only PSAC loss to West Chester last Saturday. Minner and Ally Keirn also added two assists.
Senior
Amanda Simms played the entire game in goal and made 11 saves for ESU. Jenny Perkins had nine saves in net for Mercyhurst, which held advantages of 33-20 in shots and 13-9 in draw controls.
ESU is back at Whitenight Field on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start against Millersville
