EAST STROUDSBURG – Freshman forward
Ally Roth scored two goals, giving her eight on the season, as No. 10-ranked East Stroudsburg University improved to 3-2 with a 5-2 win over No. 9 Mansfield in non-conference field hockey on Friday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
Roth opened and closed the scoring for ESU and the Warriors also got goals from senior forward

Alyson Becker and sophomore forward
Jessica Lawville as they won their seventh straight over Mansfield. ESU has scored at least four goals in all seven games.
The Warriors led 3-0 at halftime as Roth scored 5:28 in, Ventrella scored six minutes later and Becker scored on an assist by Roth with just over three minutes left until the break.
Mansfield (3-2) made it 3-1 on a goal by Taryn Schawillie 10 minutes into the second half, but the Warriors got it back when Lawville scored her sixth goal of the season about 10 minutes later.
Roth's second goal, assisted by Becker, finished the scoring with five minutes left after Mansfield's Brianna Velepec briefly made it a 4-2 game.
ESU dominated the flow of play with advantages of 32-15 in shots and 15-9 in penalty corners. Freshman
Alexis Charles, making her second straight start, had nine saves for ESU. Jamie Twist (12 saves, three goals allowed) and Kristie Rollman (three saves, two goals allowed) combined for 15 saves for Mansfield.
ESU hosts No. 1-ranked Shippensburg on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Whitenight Field. The Lady Raiders (6-0) are coming off a 3-2, comeback win over No. 8 LIU Post on Friday.
