SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.V. – Senior outside hitter
Kaitlin Behrens had a career-high 21 kills to lead East Stroudsburg University to a 3-1 win over Glenville State on Friday in non-conference women's volleyball action at Shepherd University.
Behrens's 21 kills came on 41 attacks as she hit .366 to pace an ESU offense that hit .225 for the match. She also added four aces and six digs. Behrens is the first Warrior with 20 kills in a match since Alyson Stark had 20 vs. Kutztown in 2007.
Sophomore
Annabelle Charlton had nine kills and 13 assists, and junior
Allye Preziosi had 26 assists and 12 digs.
Freshman libero
Maddie Hutchison (14) and senior outside hitter
Katie O'Neill (10) were also in double-figures in digs. Redshirt junior middle blocker
Megan Plumb had four kills and four blocks.
The Warriors (3-3) won the first set, 25-15, and rallied after dropping the second set (25-23) with wins of 25-16 in the third and 25-10 in the fourth.
ESU takes on Concord and WV State on Saturday.
