KUTZTOWN – Senior

Amr Aldeen also secured top 10 spots to lead East Stroudsburg University to a runner-up finish at the Division II Challenge at Kutztown in collegiate cross country on Saturday.
The Warriors' men finished eight points (36-48) behind Lock Haven, ranked No. 12 in Division II, in the team race, after winning the Fordham Invitational in their season opener last weekend.
Fezza ran the 8K course in 26:03, besting the entire field except for Lock Haven's Alex Monroe (25:47), coming off the individual championship at Fordham.
Schneider (26:35) was sixth, Aldeen (26:41) was eighth, senior
Jim Romano (27:07) was 13th and sophomore
Chris Ott (27:12) was 17th for the Warriors.
The women's team was third of seven schools led by seniors
Corinne Fitzgerald and
Rose Mascoli, who were third and fourth overall and finished one second apart. Bloomsburg won the team race with 57 points, Kutztown was second with 62 and ESU edged Wheeling Jesuit, 74-75, for third.
Juniors
Kim Wernerspach (12th) and
Kim Lowry (24th) and freshman
Chelsea Conover (31st) rounded out the Warriors' scorers.
ESU is off next weekend and heads to Bethlehem for the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh on Friday, Sept. 28.
