BLOOMSBURG – East Stroudsburg University held a 3-1 lead late in the first half on Saturday at Bloomsburg, but the No. 3-ranked Huskies responded for a 6-4 win over the No. 9-ranked Warriors in the first of two PSAC East match-ups between the schools this season.
ESU (3-5, 0-3), looking for its second win over Bloomsburg (8-1, 2-1) since 2006, scored three straight goals in the first half – the first by senior forward 
Lauren Ventrella and the second and third by senior midfielder 
Alyson Becker – to make it 3-1 with 1:02 left in the first half.
Bloomsburg got one goal back with 35 seconds left on a score by Amber Aulenbach, the start of a four-goal run for the Huskies. Jenna DiSabatino scored 5:31 in to the second half, Alexis Weber had the go-ahead goal three minutes later and DiSabatino netted her second with just over 10 minutes left to put Bloomsburg ahead, 5-3.
The Warriors cut the deficit to 5-4 when sophomore forward 
Jessica Lawville had her eighth goal of the season just under two minutes after DiSabatino's second goal. Bloomsburg pushed its cushion back to two (6-4) two minutes later on the game-sealing goal by Brittany Mathews.
Bloomsburg held a 23-13 advantage in shots, 14-6 in the decisive second half. Penalty corners were nearly even with Bloomsburg holding an 11-10 edge.
Senior 
Sarah Dobroskey played all 70 minutes in goal for ESU and made seven saves. Megan Eppley had five saves for Bloomsburg.
ESU continues its run against nationally-ranked teams on Tuesday, hosting defending national champion and current No. 2-ranked West Chester at 4 p.m. at Whitenight Field.
