Annabelle Charlton had double-digit kills and Charlton had her second straight triple-double as East Stroudsburg University earned a 3-2 win over Edinboro in Saturday morning's session in PSAC women's volleyball at Koehler Fieldhouse.
The Warriors fell to Gannon, 3-0, in their final match of the day to finish the weekend's crossover with a 2-1 mark, posting five-set wins over Mercyhurst and Edinboro. ESU, 6-5 overall, has a 3-1 conference record going into next weekend's matches at West Chester and Cheyney.
Behrens had 15 kills and nine digs, Plumb had a career-high 12 kills and hit .526 and Charlton had 11 kills, 15 assists and 18 digs in the win over Edinboro. Behrens pounded a career-high 23 kills and Charlton had her second triple-double of the year in Friday night's win over Mercyhurst.
Junior
Allye Preziosi had eight kills, 24 assists and nine digs and freshman libero Maddie Hutchisonhad 16 digs in the winning effort as ESU rallied from a 2-1 hole. The Warriors won the opening set 25-22, fell 25-23, 25-23 in the next two and earned 25-22 and 15-11 wins in the final two sets.
Against Gannon (12-2, 4-0), Hutchison had a team-high 18 digs in a 25-15, 25-17, 25-16 setback. Preziosi had 11 assists and 10 digs and Charlton recorded eight kills, eight assists and nine digs. Megan Reineke and Lauren Sazama, last week's PSAC West Player of the Week, led Gannon with 10 and nine kills respectively.
ESU is back on the floor next weekend, playing at West Chester at 7 p.m. and Cheyney at 4 p.m.
