CLARION - Senior Alycia Jones' second-round 92 was the second-lowest of her career to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Clarion Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Clarion Oaks Golf Club.

Jones shot an opening-round 99 to finish with a 36-hole total of 191, tied for 52nd in the field of 69, on the par-72, 5,826-yard course.

Freshman Bridget Simons (192, 96-96) and sophomore Malene Frost (192, 95-97) were tied for 55th, sophomore Kayla Grossi (195, 97-98) was 59th and senior Regan Zimmerman (205, 102-103) was 65th.

ESU was 11th in the 11-team field with a total of 770, combining the Warriors' top four scores from each round.

Kutztown won by a five-stroke margin over Wheeling Jesuit, 662-667. Seton Hill's Morgan Miller was the medalist at 153 (80-73), two shots ahead of Wheeling Jesuit's Kasey Frazier (155, 80-75).

The Warriors are off this week and return to action with a one-day event, the Ursinus Invitational at Raven's Claw Golf Club in Pottstown, on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
