DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Crystal Mena scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick in the 66th minute as Mercy College ended East Stroudsburg University's unbeaten start to the 2012 season with a 3-1 win in non-conference women's soccer on Monday afternoon.

Cree Julian tied the game for ESU on a penalty kick with 28 seconds left in the first half, but Mena put Mercy ahead with her PK and Lisa Shaw added an insurance goal in the 88th minute. MacKenzie Cochrane scored the game's first goal in the 28th minute.
The Warriors (4-1-2), coming off a 1-0 win over Kutztown late Saturday night to improve to 3-0-1 in the PSAC, saw its longest unbeaten start to a season since 1995 come to an end. Mercy (3-6) had advantages of 18-7 in shots and 6-1 in corner kicks.
Redshirt senior goalkeeper
Melissa Myers made her first start of the season and made three saves for the Warriors. Stephanie DiLegge had two saves for Mercy.
The Warriors are back to conference action this weekend, playing at IUP on Friday and Clarion on Saturday.
