INDIANA, Pa. – Kelsey Fisher scored the game-winning goal with just under 10 minutes left as IUP held off No. 16-ranked East Stroudsburg University, 2-1, in PSAC women's soccer on Friday afternoon.
ESU (4-2-2, 3-1-1 PSAC), playing for the first time since obtaining its third national ranking in five years on Tuesday, suffered its first loss in conference play after taking its first loss of the year at Mercy College, 3-1, on Monday.

Brittain Wagner kept the game scoreless by saving a penalty kick six minutes into the second half.
IUP (5-3-2, 2-3-1) went ahead 1-0 when Nikalette Fonseca scored in the 65th minute, but the lead was short-lived.

Carly Collins tied the game two minutes later with a header on a free kick taken by senior midfielder
Marissa Spitler. The goal is the second of the season and eighth of her career for Collins, with seven coming on either free kicks or corner kicks.
Fisher's go-ahead goal, assisted by Brittney Kuhns, came with 9:36 remaining.
Neither team generated many shots, with IUP holding an 8-6 edge. ESU had the game's three corner kicks, all in the second half.
Wagner had three saves in goal for ESU, which has given up five goals in the last two games after allowing just five in the first six games this season. Mara Hricik had two saves for IUP.
The Warriors head to Clarion tonight for a 12 p.m. start with the Golden Eagles (1-6-2, 1-5) on Saturday. Clarion is coming off a 2-0 loss to Bloomsburg.
