Ally Roth scored her 16th goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1 early in the second half, but Kelliann Margiotta had the game-winner 3:54 into overtime to help No. 5-ranked LIU Post remain undefeated with a 2-1 win over No. 7 East Stroudsburg University in non-conference field hockey on Monday afternoon.
Margiotta assisted on the game's first goal for LIU Post (12-0) as Melissa Quintanilla scored with 4:14 left in the first half.
Roth, ranked third in Division II in goals (1.25 per game) and fourth in points (2.92 per game) and the PSAC leader in both entering the week, scored on an assist from junior forward
Jessica Lawville 1:33 into the second half.
Shots were even at 10-10 before LIU Post had both shots in the overtime session. Meredith Stocklin made seven saves for the Pioneers and sophomore goalkeeper
Alexis Charles had four saves for ESU.
The Warriors (6-7) are off until Sunday when they travel to Seton Hill for a PSAC game at 12 p.m.
