EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University fell to Clarion and IUP in PSAC crossover women's volleyball on Friday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Junior outside hitter Abby Welch led ESU (5-18, 1-11) with 17 kills over the two matches, with seven against Clarion and 10 against IUP. Sophomore libero Maddie Hutchison had 33 digs, including 23 against Clarion.

Junior middle blocker Elizabeth Madden hit 5-0-12 and freshman outside hitter Sydney Galoozis hit 4-0-13 for the Warriors in the night's final match vs. IUP.

Clarion hit .283, led by nine kills from Emily Stewart, in a 25-11, 25-16, 25-17 win in the day's first match. The Golden Eagles finished the day 21-1 (10-1 PSAC) after a 3-0 win over Cheyney.

IUP (5-18, 1-11) had a .435 attack percentage, including .607 (20-3-28) in the second set, in a 25-11, 25-17, 25-15 victory. Elizabeth Sova had 12 kills without an error in 17 attacks, Ericka Lentz also had 12 kills and Lindsay Moeller had 38 assists.

ESU faces California at 10 a.m. and Seton Hill at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
