HERSHEY - Sophomore
Bridget Simons was 28th for East Stroudsburg University's best individual finish since the 2009-10 season as the Warriors competed at the 2013 PSAC Women's Golf Championships on Saturday at Sunday at Hershey Links Golf Course.
ESU finished ninth of nine schools, with Gannon winning the team title by a two-stroke margin (648-650) over California, which had won four of the previous five titles.
Kutztown (659) was third, followed by Mercyhurst (665) and Seton Hill (665) tied for fourth, West Chester (682) sixth, and Clarion (717) and Millersville (717) tied for seventh. ESU carded a 798 with scores of 398 and 400.
Simons was 28th in a field of 42 golfers with a two-day total of 177, posting rounds of 88 and 89. Her finish is the Warriors' best since Karen Cash was tied for third in 2009-10. Simons was 32nd last year at 194 (99-95).

Malene Frost was tied for 31st at 180 (89-91), junior
Kayla Grossi was 38th at 192 (93-99) and sophomore
Jen Jordan was 42nd at 249 (128-121).
Morgan Miller of Seton Hill was the medalist at 154 (76-78) for a one-stroke margin of victory over Gannon's Bhanisha Nagindas at 155 (74-81).
The par-71 course played at 5,948 yards.
