INDIANA, Pa. - IUP scored two goals in a two-minute stretch late in the second half to post a 4-3 win over visiting No. 8-ranked East Stroudsburg University in PSAC field hockey on Saturday afternoon.
After goals by Jessica Kida with 13:34 left and Casey McGowan with 11:44 to go, sophomore forward
Ally Roth brought the Warriors (7-9, 4-4) within 4-3 with 6:09 to play, but the Crimson Hawks (7-9, 4-4) held on.
IUP led 2-0 at halftime with goals by Ashley Masner at 27:54 and Kida at 29:56.

The Crimson Hawks responded less than six minutes later with the decisive goals.
ESU controlled almost all of the second half, holding an 11-2 advantage in shots and 12-0 margin in penalty corners. IUP owned those numbers in the first half, with a 13-2 edge in shots and 8-0 edge in penalty corners.

Alexis Charles made five saves for ESU, while Darian Shuker had seven saves for IUP.
Roth's goal was her 19th of the year, extending her PSAC-leading total, and the 29th of her career. Lawville scored her eighth goal of the season and 23rd of her career, and Barbato's goal was the third of her career, all this season. Barbato also assisted on Roth's goal.
ESU travels to undefeated and No. 1-ranked Shippensburg (15-0, 8-0) before finishing the regular season at Kutztown (currently 6-8, 2-5) next Saturday.
ESU, IUP and Mercyhurst are tied for fifth in the PSAC with a 4-4 record, with the top six teams qualifying for the postseason.
