EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior outside hitter
Abby Welch had 12 kills, but Pitt-Johnstown came away with a 3-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown in PSAC women's volleyball on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Marissa Erminio had 10 kills and 10 digs, Beth Kendera had nine kills and Allison Mondorff had 30 assists for UPJ (9-4, 3-2), which is in its first season as a full member of the PSAC and competes in the PSAC East in women's volleyball.

Elizabeth Madden both added four kills for ESU (5-12, 1-5). Sophomore
Maddie Hutchison had 21 digs, redshirt sophomore
Haley Mork had 11, and senior
Allye Preziosi had three kills, eight digs and a team-high 21 assists.
The Warriors were playing without their top two hitters in junior
Annabelle Charlton and freshman
Sydney Galoozis due to injury.
Welch had a career-high 16 kills in ESU's last match, a 3-0 loss to Edinboro in last weekend's PSAC crossover. Her 12 kills against UPJ are the second-most of her career.
Pitt-Johnstown won by scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-19. The two schools will meet again on Saturday, November 2 in Johnstown.
ESU hosts Lock Haven on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Koheler Fieldhouse.
