SHIPPENSBURG – Junior Taylor Presby and freshman Amber Jadus were double winners for East Stroudsburg University as the Warriors' women's tennis team posted a 5-4 win over Clarion in non-conference action on Saturday at Shippensburg.

ESU had wins at fourth through sixth singles and second and third doubles to outlast the Golden Eagles.

Senior Annie Vega had a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles, Jadus won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 and Presby was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 6.

In doubles, Presby and junior Allison Bean won 8-6 at No. 2, and Jadus and freshman Brianne Wood won 8-0 at No. 3 to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Wood fell to Madeline Robinson, 1-6, 6-4, 10-5, at No. 3 singles in the closest singles match of the day. Lauren Zezenski and Megan Bettwy won for the Golden Eagles at first and second singles, and teamed for a win at first doubles.

Clarion falls to 2-4 with wins over Pitt-Greensburg and Penn State-Altoona.

ESU, 3-1 on the season with wins over Caldwell, Seton Hill and Clarion, finishes its fall schedule next Saturday at Philadelphia University.
