EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore forward Madeline DeVico scored directly off a corner kick early in the second half, and senior goalkeeper Brittain Wagner made five saves to move into second in school history with her 15th career shutout as East Stroudsburg University blanked Millersville, 1-0, in PSAC women's soccer on Tuesday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

DeVico, who scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Gannon on Sept. 13, helped the Warriors (6-3-1, 6-3-1 PSAC) break an 0-3-1 skid with her goal in the 58th minute. Millersville (5-5-1, 4-4-1) opened 5-0-1 but has lost five straight.

Wagner had four of her five saves in the second half for her fifth shutout of the season, and fourth solo shutout. An All-PSAC second team selection last year, Wagner has 15 total shutouts (13 solo) in 37 starts in goal after starting all 18 games at left back as a freshman.

She broke a tie with Janine Turcio (2007-08) with 14 shutouts, trailing only Stacy Linzenbold (27, 1995-98) in program history.

ESU held a 16-9 advantage in shots and scored on one of its seven corner kicks. Olivia Webber had eight saves in goal for Millersville.

The Warriors played without freshman center back Laurel Neira, who was out due to injury. Freshman Robyn Piveteau made her first career start next to senior Michelle Gogolen, who made her 60th career start.

ESU travels to Shippensburg (6-4, 5-4) on Saturday for a 4 p.m. start.
