JOHNSTOWN – Junior outside hitter Abby Welch tied her career-high with 16 kills, and senior middle blocker Elizabeth Madden had a season-high with 10, as East Stroudsburg University pushed Pitt-Johnstown to four sets in a 3-1 loss in PSAC women's volleyball on Saturday.

Senior Allye Preziosi had 29 assists and 16 digs, sophomore libero Maddie Hutchison had 19 digs and redshirt sophomore Haley Mork added 16 to lead the Warriors' defensive effort.

Freshman middle blocker Hanna Bergen had three kills and a team-high three block assists. Junior outside hitter Shannon Hillsinger added eight kills for ESU (6-23, 2-16 PSAC).

The Warriors won the opening set, 32-30, before falling 25-12, 25-20, 25-14 to UPJ (19-8, 11-6).

Kelsey Shanabrook led UPJ with 18 kills and 15 digs, Marissa Eminio had 15 kills and 17 digs, Allison Mondorff contributed 40 assists, 15 digs and nine blocks, and Katie Svetahor had a team-high 18 digs for UPJ.

The Warriors are home against Kutztown on Tuesday night, their first home action since October 19. They host two of their final four matches at Koehler Fieldhouse, finishing on Friday, November 15 against West Chester.
