WILKES-BARRE - Senior Allison Schafer won the 400 IM and 500 free, and junior Shelby Stalnaker swam a PSAC qualifying time in the 100 back to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Diamond City Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

Schafer won the 400 IM in 4:48.48 (PSAC qualifying time) and the 500 free in 5:21.02. Sophomore Cyndi Kline was the Warriors' other individual winner, taking the 200 free in 2:01.08, finishing second in the 500 free (5:23.82) and third in the 100 free (55.94).

ESU was second of eight schools, posting 614 points, just edging Scranton with 612. Misericordia was first with 684.5 points.

Stalnaker was second in both the 100 back (1:01.16) and 200 IM (2:17.78). She is the fourth Warrior with a PSAC qualifying time this season, joining Schafer in the 400 IM and 500 free, junior Jamie Kane in the 100 and 200 breast, and junior Karoline Vavra in the 50 and 100 free.

Vavra was second in both the 50 free (25.07) and 100 free (54.72) this weekend, improving her PSAC qualifying times in both events. Kane was fourth in the 100 breast, junior Mara Palazzari was third in the 100 fly and fifth in the 100 free, and freshman Jennifer Lauer placed fifth in the 400 IM.

ESU won two of the five relays, and finished second in the other three.

The Warriors took the 400 free in 3:43.60 and 800 free in 8:20.43 with junior Danielle Davis, Kline and Schafer swimming on both relays.  Vavra also contributed on the 400 free relay, and Lauer swam on the 800 free.

Stalnaker, Kane, Palazzari and Vavra all swam both the 200 medley (1:50.98) and 400 medley (4:11.96) relays. Vavra, Davis, Palazzari and KIine were on the 200 free relay that finished in 1:43.08.
