KUTZTOWN – East Stroudsburg University had wins at 165, 174 and 184 pounds but came out on the short end of a 36-11 decision at Kutztown in the Warriors' final dual of the 2012-13 season on Tuesday night.

Two of ESU's three highly-ranked regional wrestlers posted victories in their final action before the Super Region 1 Championships, which will be held February 22-23 at Kutztown.

Redshirt junior Braden Turner, ranked No. 6 in Division II and No. 1 in the region at 157 pounds, wrestled up at 165 and won a 10-4 decision over Ricky Pena to improve to 17-5 on the season, and 12-1 against DII competition. Turner is 3-0 at 165 this year. He has won 11 of his last 12 matches entering the regional, where he was the runner-up at 157 last year and earned All-America status at the NCAA Championships.

Redshirt junior Brendan McKeown, ranked No. 2 in the region at 174, will enter the regional with a 12-match winning streak after improving to 16-1 on the season, and 10-1 in DII action. McKeown had a dominant 16-4 major decision over Andrew Wesner, his sixth major and 10th bonus point win of the season. He also goes into the regional as the defending runner-up in his weight class.

At 184, redshirt sophomore Luke DeLuise won a 10-2 major decision over Matt Cosgrove, improving to 13-9 on the year and finishing his first season at ESU with a 10-5 dual record.

Freshman Tyson Searer, ranked No. 5 in Division II and No. 1 in the region at 197 pounds, did not take the mat for the second straight dual after being introduced at 285 due to an injury to regular 285-pounder Joe Blaes.

Searer is 14-7 overall and 11-2 against Division II competition entering the SR1 Championships next weekend.

At 197, junior Frank Marinucci dropped a 1-0 decision to Kutztown's Vinny Campanile, ranked No. 8 in DII and No. 2 in the region behind Searer. Campanile and Searer split their two meetings this season, with Searer winning a 2-1 decision in the PSAC Championships on December 8.

ESU forfeited due to injuries at 149 and 285 pounds and had several other wrestlers bump up a weight class, due to an injury at 141.
