MECHANICSBURG – The 400 medley relay broke the school record and finished eighth to highlight East Stroudsburg University's second day of the PSAC Swimming Championships, held Friday at Cumberland Valley High School.

Karoline Vavra swam 3:57.16 to break the record of 3:59.56 set at last year's championships.
The 200 free relay of

Andrea Tremper was ninth in 1:38.28, just off the record of 1:37.70 set last winter.
Coy made the consolation finals of the 200 IM and placed 14th in 2:11.26 after placing 13th in the prelims in 2:11.78 on Friday morning. Sophomore
Shelby Stalnaker was 32nd in the prelims in 2:19.89.
Five Warriors were in the prelims of the 50 free –
Karoline Vavra (18th – 24.56), Tremper (19th – 24.59),
Sami Vavra (30th – 25.03), sophomore
Mara Palazzari (t-33rd – 25.22) and sophomore
Danielle Davis (39th – 25.45).
ESU set the school record in the 200 medley relay on Thursday night, with
Sami Vavra, Coy, Lawson and Tremper clocking 1:48.52 to place seventh.
This marks the first time since 2006 that ESU has had two top-eight relays at the same PSAC Championships. The 400 free and 800 free relays will be contested over the next two days.
Junior
Allison Schafer broke her own school record to place 11th in the 1000 free on Thursday as well.
Last year's record-setting 400 medley relay was comprised of Lawson,
Sami Vavra, Schafer and Tremper and placed ninth.
ESU is 10th in the team standings with 73 points, outpacing Millersville (68), Kutztown (39) and Mansfield, which did not have any conference qualifiers.
