SHIPPENSBURG - Stephanie Knauer had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Sarah Strybuc added 14 points and nine assists off the bench to lead Shippensburg to a 67-47 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's basketball on Saturday afternoon at Heiges Field House.

Sophomore forward Jessica Martin had 13 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks to lead ESU (7-16, 6-13), which secured the PSAC East's sixth and final playoff spot on Wednesday with a 67-39 win over Mansfield. The Warriors are locked into the sixth seed and will play a first-round PSAC playoff game at the No. 3 seed on Saturday, March 2.

Martin had her 10th double-double of her career and sixth of the season. She scored all 13 of her points in the first half - scoring 13 of ESU's first 15 points - and was the only Warrior in double figures. She had eight points, 11 rebounds and a school-record nine blocks in a 74-55 home loss to Shippensburg on January 26.

Senior guard Barb Borst scored seven points and had four assists, junior guard Andrea Veres scored six points and sophomore forward Kelsey Murray had six points and six rebounds.

Knauer's 22 points came on 9-for-10 shooting and Strybuc hit four three's for Shippensburg (17-7, 13-6), which entered one game behind Bloomsburg and Millersville for the PSAC East lead. Shawna Wert scored nine points, all at the foul line, and Alex Gildea had three points and 10 rebounds.

ESU had just nine turnovers but shot 26.7 percent (20-for-75) from the field and 2-for-8 at the foul line. Shippensburg shot 39.3 percent (24-for-61), was 13-for-16 at the foul line, and had a 57-40 advantage in rebounds. The Lady Raiders led 35-19 at halftime.

The Warriors are at Millersville next Wednesday before returning to Koehler Fieldhouse for their final two games of the regular season.
