PHILADELPHIA - Eight players had multiple hits and junior Laura Suits and freshman Amanda Carlin earned wins in the circle as East Stroudsburg University swept a non-conference softball doubleheader at Chestnut Hill on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors (4-4) had 13 hits and broke open a 1-0 game with a seven-run fourth inning in the opener, which they won 12-2 in 5 innings. They scored in five of the seven frames in a 9-4 win in the nightcap and have won four straight following a sweep at Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday.

In the first game, freshman 2B Sierra Wagner (3-for-4, 3 RBI, 2 runs) and freshman SS Haley Thomas (3-for-3, RBI, 2 runs) had three hits each. ESU scored once in the third, on a two-out double by senior OF Jennifer Denaro followed by an error, before striking for seven in the fourth.

The Warriors sent 10 batters to the plate, capped by a two-run homer by sophomore 1B Cara McNeil. Sophomore OF Cara Woods had an RBI single, Wagner had a two-RBI double and junior C Rebecca Smith had a sacrifice fly in the inning, which included six hits.

Chestnut Hill made it 8-2 in the bottom of the fourth, but ESU added four more in the fifth. Thomas hit an RBI double and Woods, Wagner and Smith all had RBI singles to make it 12-2.

Suits allowed two runs on seven hits, struck out four and didn't walk a batter in recording the five-inning, complete game win.

In the second game, sophomore OF Kasey Meckes was 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI and sophomore OF Kacie Killeen was 2-for-3 with two runs out of the No. 8 and No. 9 spots.

ESU scored two in the first and got another in the second , on an RBI double by Meckes, to take a 3-0 lead into the fourth inning.

The Warriors took advantage of two Chestnut Hill errors to score two more in the fourth before CHC got the runs back in the bottom of the inning.

ESU took an 8-2 lead with three runs on four hits in the top of the fifth. Meckes, Killeen and Wagner all singled to start the inning and McNeil followed with a two-out, two-run double. The Warriors scored their final run in the seventh as freshman 3B Kellie Mignoli doubled and scored on a double by Meckes.

Meckes (4-for-4), Thomas (4-for-7), Wagner (4-for-9), Woods (3-for-5) and Denaro (3-for-7) all stood ou at the plate for the Warriors, who had 25 hits in the doubleheader and batted .391.

Carlin threw the first 6.1 innings went the distance in the circle, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits. She struck out two and didn't allow a walk. Suits came on to get the final two outs in the the seventh.

The Warriors are back on the field on Tuesday for a doubleheader at Bloomfield (NJ).
