ELVERSON - Sophomore Kayla Grossi shot a career-low round of 88 to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Ursinus Invitational on Tuesday at the Stonewall North Course.

Grossi has shot career-lows in the last three tournaments and matches ESU's low round in the last three years. Teammate Alycia Jones shot an 88 at Kutztown last year.

The Warriors were third in a field of eight schools, two from Division II and six from Division III. DIII Gettysburg ran away with the team title by 47 shots over Millersville (381), with ESU (383), Eastern (401), Muhlenberg (406), Franklin & Marshall (416), Alvernia (464) and Ursinus (469) also competing.

Molly Nulty of Gettysburg was the medalist with a round of 79 on the par-70, 5,886-yard course. The Bullets had four of the top six finishers in a field of 40 golfers.

Grossi was tied for ninth to lead ESU. Freshman Bridget Simons was 16th (94), sophomore Malene Frost was 17th (96), Jones was 27th (105) and junior Erika Cupa was 39th (146).

Grossi shot ESU's fourth sub-90 round in the last three seasons. She had her previous career-low of 89 at West Chester last Sunday.

The Warriors finish the season by hosting the ESU Invitational at Great Bear Golf and Country Club in East Stroudsburg on Sunday.
